Homemade Salsa

This salsa recipe is easy and quick but fresh and delicious!

Equipment

  • 1 food processor or blender
  • 1 large bowl
  • 1 large spoon
  • 1 set of measuring spoons
  • 1 cutting board
  • 1 knife
  • 1 measuring cup

Ingredients

  • 2 28 oz cans petite diced tomatoes my mom uses Hunt's
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 2-3 jalapenos, chopped
  • 3 green onions, chopped
  • 1 cup cilantro

Instructions

  • De-seed 2-3 jalapenos (depending on how spicy you want your salsa).
  • Unless you have a very large food processor, you'll want to make your salsa in batches.
  • Add the juice of 1 can of tomatoes to food processor.
  • Add salt, pepper, and jalapenos to juice in food processor.
  • Chop jalapenos to desired size.
  • Add back tomatoes to food processor and chop to desired size.
  • Pour contents of food processor in large bowl.
  • Add juice from second jar of tomatoes to food processor.
  • Add green onions and cilantro to juice and chop to desired size.
  • Add tomatoes from second jar to food processor and chop to desired size.
  • Add contents of food processor to bowl and mix with previous batch.
  • Store in refrigerator.
