National Parks Baby Shower Theme
As soon as I came across some adorable National Parks-themed baby showers on Pinterest, I knew it would be the perfect theme for my adventure-loving, outdoor-loving friend Callie’s baby shower!
And to keep everyone up to date, Baby B is now here and adorable and thriving!
The National Parks Baby Shower Menu
My friend Callie eats a vegetarian diet, so I went with a vegetarian menu.
She loves veggies and greens. We always joke that she’ll eat the garnish out of your drink! So I made sure to have plenty on hand! I made a big vegetable platter and veggie sandwiches.
To go with the theme, I set up a trail mix bar, and we made s’mores on the kitchen table.
I wanted the punch to feel healthy, so I went with a blood orange spritzer punch full of ginger, turmeric, and herbs!
Easiest, Fastest, Best-Ever Vegetarian Sandwich Recipe
These sandwiches were so good!
I came up with the recipe for a vegetarian option, but they’re definitely the best sandwiches I’ve ever made!
I wanted to ensure they were filling since they were our main food. So I stuffed them with herb cheese spread, fresh mozzarella, avocado, and lots of veggies.
They were a hit! I loved them so much that I made them again for my husband for dinner the next week, and he didn’t even mind that there was no meat. I did add some bacon for him, and that was tasty, too!
For serving, I cut the sandwiches into small portions with a super sharp bread knife. Make sure your knife is sharp or all that yummy avocado will squish out!
I covered a cake stand with a brown parchment paper sheet (I keep these in my pantry and use them all the time!) and stuck it inside a vintage picnic basket. I put out some buffet tongs so people didn’t have to use their hands to grab the sandwiches.
Recipe below!
I linked those parchment sheets below! I love these! I use them all the time to line my baking sheets. But I also use them to cover serving trays and wrap food for adorable gifting! They’re pre-cut, so you don’t have to search the kitchen for scissors with dirty hands. I also linked my favorite bread knife and my favorite AirBake cookie sheets. These cookie sheets even make pre-made bread taste better and crunchier!

Refreshing Blood Orange Spritzer Punch Recipe
When I came up with this punch idea, I was trying to channel a delicious, healthy drink you would love to enjoy after a long National Park hike.
The blood oranges came into play because I found some at the grocery store that week! (When you’re living the small-town life, you can’t always find them, so these were a treat!)
Sure, this punch had some sugar in it (we weren’t trying to be totally healthy). But it sure did taste healthy and refreshing! And itΒ wasΒ full of vitamin C from the fresh blood orange juice, fresh herbs, ginger, and turmeric!
I used thisΒ recipeΒ from Jessica Gavin for inspiration!
To serve, we poured the punch over ice. I decorated each glass with a slice of blood orange, mint, and rosemary. And I floated some blood orange rings in the bowl.
Blood Orange Spritzer Punch
Equipment
- 1 measuring cup
- 1 punch bowl
- 1 punch ladle
- 1 knife
- 1 cutting board
- 1 citrus juicer
- 1 cooking pot
Ingredients
- 2 cups blood orange juice
- 2 cups sparkling water
- 4 tbsp honey
- 2 sprigs mint
- 2 springs rosemary
- 1 tsp ginger powder
- 1 tsp turmeric
Instructions
- Mix your ginger powder and turmeric in a little water or juice to ensure it dissolves.
- Add all ingredients to a punch bowl.
- Float some blood orange slices on top of the punch and decorate your glasses with blood orange quarters, rosemary sprigs, and mint leaves.
- Serve over ice.
- If the punch isn't sweet enough, add more honey or some simple syrup.

Tabletop Smores Station
We had so much fun making smores at the kitchen table!
I put all the smores fixings on a platter and provided some wooden skewers for roasting. I stuck the skewers in a cute Mason jar.
Make sure you cover your table! We did have a few flaming marshmallows go down!
I put down some brown Kraft paper. I love using a paper runner for parties! It’s cheap, and you can customize it to the theme. I drew a map on it with a white marker and added cute little places customized to mom and baby, like “Camp Callie” and “Baby B Lookout,” to make it special!
I also customized a chalk sign, added some greenery that I pulled out of my Christmas box, and put out a cute National Parks poster (more on the poster later)!
My husband got me the indoor/outdoor tabletop firepit for Christmas one year, and I love it! You just pour in rubbing alcohol and light it! It’s perfect for smores inside! I’ll link it below!
Trail Mix Bar
The trail mix bar was fun, too! Everyone had fun customizing their mix! And it was easy to take to go as a little favor!
I folded over brown paper sacks and put them out on a wooden Lazy Susan for easy access. I provided a scoop and extra brown sacks to hold the trail mix!
I went with pretzels, M&M’s, peanuts, dried blueberries, and granola!
Veggie Board
I made a big veggie tray and served it with Green Goddess salad dressing and hummus!
I chose radishes with the greens attached and left some whole to decorate the tray!
I also put some cute bamboo forks out in case people wanted to use them! I love these because they’re compostable and cuter than regular plastic forks! I’ll link them below.
The National Parks Baby Shower Decor
Decorating for the National Parks Baby Shower theme was so fun! And I actually already had most of the decor!
I only bought this Smokey the Bear stuffed animal and the National Parks posters. I got both from Amazon and will link them below!
The bear was so cute, and it was fun to give it to Callie after the shower to take home to baby and keep as a shower souvenir!
I loved the colors of the posters! After the shower, Callie took them home to frame for nursery decor!
I pulled the greenery and pine cones out of my Christmas box!
I had thrifted the vintage camping supplies, brown glass bottle, and picnic basket and pulled them out for the party!
Creating Your Own National Parks Baby Shower Chalkboard Sign
I love keeping chalkboards around to customize for parties!
I looked at some vintage National Park signs for inspiration!
I’ll link the chalk markers I use below so that you can create your own!

Have you ever considered not using an exclamation point after every sentence? It sounds like a 4th grader wrote this.

OMG! This is my FIRST EVER mean comment in 3 years of blogging! I think I’ve finally made it, y’all! AND it’s from a totally random internet person. I think that makes it even more legitimate! BRB I’ve got to go call my mom because MOMMA, I’VE MADE IT!
